AGI research agent: sourced research, structured fast.

An AGI research agent should give you something you can check, not a confident summary you have to trust. Zeus AGI searches the live web, reads the sources, verifies the claims it intends to use, structures the brief and hands the work to the next step with the evidence still attached. The report is a working document, not a performance of certainty. The point of research is that someone else can check it.

Dark hero art for the AGI research agent: sources gathered and claims checked.

WHAT IT DELIVERS

What an AGI research agent delivers

Research is not a pile of links. It is a question narrowed into something answerable, a set of sources read with attention, a judgement about which claims hold and a structure that lets the next person act. A search engine gives you the pile. An AGI research agent has to do the rest, and it has to show its working, because the value of research is that someone else can check it.

The delivery has four parts. There is the brief: what was asked, what was found and what the answer means for the decision at hand. There is the source list: every page that was used, with its date and a note on what it contributed. There are the claim checks: which statements were verified, which were supported by one source only and which were removed because nothing credible backed them. And there is the structure: a document a person can read in order rather than a wall of text to be mined.

The sources matter more than the prose. A report without citations is an opinion with better formatting. The agent records where each claim came from, when the source was published and what it actually said, so a reader can follow the trail and disagree with the conclusion using the same evidence. Where the evidence is thin, the report says it is thin rather than rounding it up into a fact.

Research also has to survive contact with the next step. A brief that only exists as a final PDF is a dead end. The agent keeps the findings in a form the rest of the work can use: the content writer inherits the structure and the sources, the data analyst inherits the definitions, the build inherits the requirements. That continuity is the difference between research that informs the work and research that decorates a slide.

The honest limit is the web itself. Some sources are behind paywalls, some data is gated, some pages load in ways that are hard to read and some topics simply have no good public evidence. The agent reports what it could reach, what it could not and what that gap means for the conclusion. A report that names its blind spots is more useful than one that pretends there are none.

There is a discipline in the middle of a research job that separates a report from a reading list: knowing when to stop. The agent works to a defined scope, records what falls outside it and does not quietly expand the question because a tangent looked interesting. Breadth is easy to fake; a bounded question answered with evidence is hard, and it is the version a decision can use.

THE LOOP

The research loop: four steps

01

Question

The question is narrowed until it can be answered: who needs this, what decision it informs, what would count as a good answer and what is out of scope. A question that is too broad produces a report that is too long and too vague. Scope is written down before the first search.

02

Search

The agent searches the live web and reads the sources rather than skimming headlines. Primary sources are preferred to summaries, dates are recorded and anything that cannot be read is noted instead of guessed at. Reading beats skimming, and dates are recorded.

03

Verify

Claims that matter are checked against more than one source where possible. Quotes are confirmed against the page they came from. Where two sources disagree, both are recorded and the disagreement is explained rather than averaged away. Disagreement is evidence too, not noise.

04

Structure

The findings are organised around the decision, not around the order they were discovered. The brief, the sources and the open questions arrive together, ready to be passed to the next step in the work. The order follows the decision, not the reading.

WHAT IT RESEARCHES

Research it takes on

Market landscape

What the category looks like, who is present in it and how the offers differ, described from what can be observed rather than from an invented market size.

Competitor scan

The pages, messages and structures competitors use, recorded factually so the differences are visible rather than reduced to a single invented score. Like is compared with like.

Technical evaluation

How a technology, tool or standard actually works, read from documentation and primary material rather than from summaries and second-hand claims about it. Where the documentation is wrong, that is recorded too.

Source comparison

Two or more accounts of the same subject compared for agreement, disagreement and date, so the reader can see where the confidence should sit. Disagreement is data, not noise.

Audience research

The questions people ask, the language they use and the objections they raise, gathered from visible material and organised into a form a brief can work from.

Regulation and policy scan

What the published rules say on a subject, with the source and date attached, for briefing rather than for legal advice. The date on the source matters as much as the source.

THE DIFFERENCE

AGI research agent vs a search box and a pile of tabs

A search engine is excellent at finding candidates. It does not read them for you, check them, resolve their disagreements or carry the findings into the next task. The gap between finding sources and delivering research is where the work lives. Finding is not the same as finishing.

CARRIES FORWARD

Research that carries forward

The most expensive part of research is usually not finding it. It is re-explaining it. A brief written for one tool, copied into another, loses the reasoning and keeps the bullet points. Zeus AGI holds the brief in the same intelligence that does the next task, so the content writer starts from the sources and the analyst starts from the definitions instead of from a paraphrase.

That continuity is also a check. If the briefing cannot support the page the writer is being asked to produce, the gap shows up before publication rather than after. Research earns its keep when it constrains the work that follows, not when it flatters it.

The limits are the ones the web imposes. Paywalls block reading, gated data blocks access, dynamic pages are harder to inspect and some subjects have no reliable public evidence at all. A strong report names those limits and adjusts the confidence of its conclusions to match, which is what a careful human researcher does too.

Reports also age. A brief written for a decision made last quarter is evidence about last quarter, and treating it as current is how organisations repeat work without noticing the world moved. The agent keeps the date attached, so a future reader can see what was true when the work was done and what needs checking before it is used again.

BEYOND THIS

One capability, not the edge of the map

Research is one of unlimited domains, and it is often the first step of a longer job. The brief becomes a page, the page becomes an asset, the asset becomes a campaign and the campaign becomes a report. Zeus AGI carries the thread instead of handing it between products that each start by asking what you want. The brief is the thread that keeps the domains connected.

This is one example. The skill and MCP system means the next domain is a request away. Zeus AGI acquires new skills and connects MCP servers, so a capability it does not ship with today can be added when the work calls for it. Describe the outcome on the anything page, read how invention is handled in beyond, and see the full map in capabilities. Skills turn a new domain into an ordinary task.

The list is not the limit. Unlimited domains are examples, not a fence. The real constraint is the quality of the question and the discipline to check the answer before it is used. A bounded question answered with evidence is the scarce thing.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Short, direct answers. If yours is missing, the full FAQ page has more.

Yes. Every claim that matters carries the page it came from, the date of publication and a note on what the source contributed. Quotes are confirmed against the page rather than reproduced from memory. Where a claim rests on one source only, the report says so. Where nothing credible supports a claim, it is removed and the removal is recorded rather than hidden. The citation is the unit of trust.

It can research what is publicly observable: the pages, the messages, the structure of the offer, the language used and the claims made. It will not invent market sizes, revenue figures or internal information it cannot see. The output is a factual picture of the visible landscape, organised so you can draw the commercial conclusion yourself. Commercial conclusions stay with the reader.

That is part of the loop rather than an optional step. Claims are checked against more than one source where possible, quotes are confirmed against their original page and disagreements between sources are recorded instead of averaged away. Anything that cannot be verified is either removed or clearly marked as an assumption, which is what makes the report defensible. Disagreement is recorded, not smoothed.

Yes. The findings arrive as a structured document: the question, the answer, the sources, the claim checks and the open questions. That brief can then be passed directly to a content, data or build step, with the sources still attached. The aim is a document a person can act on, not an archive of links to interpret later. A decision-ready brief is the deliverable.

It uses the browser to read pages as they exist now, which matters when a source has changed since it was indexed. It can follow links, read published material and check dates. Where a page is behind a paywall, gated behind a login or built in a way that cannot be read reliably, the report says so instead of guessing at the contents. What cannot be read is reported as unread.

They stay in your project files, in a structure you can read and reuse. The brief, the source list and the claim checks are written to disk rather than living only in a conversation. That means the next step inherits them, a colleague can review them and the research does not evaporate when the session ends. The files are the archive.

A search engine with a summary finds candidates and compresses them. An AGI research agent reads the candidates, checks the claims, resolves what can be resolved, names what cannot and carries the brief into the next task with supporting evidence. The output is not a shorter version of the web; it is a decision-ready document with a trail. A trail beats a summary.

BEYOND THIS

This is one example. The next domain is a request away.

Zeus AGI acquires the skills it needs and connects MCP servers, so the scope is not a fixed feature list. If the work is digital or device based, it is in scope.

Start with a question.

Bring the question and the decision it informs. The first deliverable is a brief with sources, checks and its blind spots named.
